27° ENOCONEGLIANO – LUIGI MANZONI AWARD

MANZONI BIANCO VILLA MINELLI 2024 WINS THE LUIGI MANZONI AWARD

At the 27th Enoconegliano wine competition – Selezione Vini Veneti 2025, Manzoni Bianco Villa Minelli 2024 won the Luigi Manzoni special prize, awarded to the wine made from Incrocio Manzoni 6.0.13 grapes that obtained the highest score.

The 2025 edition saw the participation of 175 companies with a total of 512 wines. In addition to the awards for individual categories, there is a special award dedicated to Luigi Manzoni, a historic figure in Conegliano and Italian oenology in the 1930s and 1940s.

An agronomist and geneticist, he was mayor of Conegliano and headmaster of the School of Oenology. He was also a pioneer in studies and experiments on the genetic improvement of vines through crossbreeding, which led to the creation of new grape varieties, such as Manzoni Bianco (6.0.13) and Manzoni Rosso (2-15), which immediately stood out for their oenological characteristics.

We are delighted to have received this prestigious award and that our wine best represents the elegance and finesse typical of this variety.
