Passito

From Istrian Malvasia vineyards, this wine is made from grapes harvested by hand, sorted in the vineyard and naturally dried on cane racks for 4-5 months in the open air.

The appearance is amber, very dense, consistent with evident brightness. The nose is decidedly intense and complex with hints of evolved fruitiness: there are clear aromas of candied citrus fruits and sultanas in alcohol, then the wine opens up: barley sweets, honey, amaretto biscuits with hints of zabaglione. Sweet on the palate, it immediately opens up with candied fruit and toasted almonds and a savoury, still fresh note; then the sip becomes pleasantly warm, enveloping and smooth. Splendid finish of bitter caramel on a robust body and creamy base. Ideal served with dry pastries or blue cheeses.
Serve at 12-14°C.
